StreetSmart

StreetSmart was established in 1998 and since then has raised over £10 million for homeless people across the UK.

Every year during the festive months over 600 restaurants all over the UK join the StreetSmart campaign. The participating restaurants, add a voluntary £1 to the diners’ bill and send the money to StreetSmart.

All StreetSmart’s running and operational costs are generously paid for by our partner LandAid, so every penny in every £1 raised goes directly to the people who need it.

All the money raised is for causes who create homes or support people to find a home. The word ‘home’ conjures feelings of warmth, family, friendship and love. To be homeless is to be alone, with no one to care about you. Tackling homelessness is not just about providing shelter from the elements, it is about providing advice, advocacy, education and meaningful occupation, but above all, care within a community that can be called ‘home’. This is what StreetSmart looks for in the projects that benefit from the campaign, and what it hopes to enable people to find. Therefore StreetSmart wholeheartedly supports the construction of the YouthCommunityHome in Chiswick. You find more info on StreetSmart and participating restaurants under https://streetsmart.org.uk/
